Douglas Kreps Memorial Scholarship Fund
Douglas Warren Kreps passed away suddenly at the age of 55 on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Doug's deep love for his family was evident in the hobbies he joyfully shared with his children. He had a passion for golf, skiing, and supporting Pittsburgh sports teams. He always cherished good meals and time spent with friends. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Constance Reiter-Kreps, and their two children, Duncan and Abigail. Doug's care extended to the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, where he was a dedicated member of the Board of Directors for 17 years, serving as Treasurer and later Vice Chair. His enthusiasm for PBT was evident through his volunteer work and unwavering commitment to the organization. Doug is remembered as a loyal board member with a keen ear and wise counsel. In honor of Doug’s legacy, memorial gifts can be made to the Douglas Kreps Memorial Scholarship Fund for students of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. This scholarship will break down financial barriers, allowing Doug’s commitment to PBT to continue by providing more children with the opportunity to experience the joy and beauty of ballet, as well as the valuable lessons of physical health, strength, and personal discipline.
